Delights and Woes of the Day

School re-opens today after about 2 months' break. Singapore parents of young school-going children sure were busy this morning getting them to classes on time.

I am sure the little ones will have a lot to share when they are back home. Well, here is an exercise that parents can do with their children of all ages.

At dinner time, get them to talk about the what delights them and if there were any let-downs.

For me, I had an enjoyable lunch with 2 old friends I had not seen for quite some time. Nothing too elaborate but it was just good exchanging news about each other.

On the down-side, I had to wait quite a while at the Bank while waiting to be attended. Improvements on banking services still have a long way to go . . . sigh

Both parents and children should participate together so that the juniors also know what the elders encounter in their workplace. Interactions like these will definitely foster better relationship in the family.

Go on and try it out and who knows there may be surprises every day . . .
